Short Distance Object Avoidance

Short distance object detection is implemented with a Lynxmotion IR module.

The IR beam is modulated and gets reflected by objects in front of the rover.

The unit provides a variable potentiometer to set the detection threshold.

This will connected to 2 phidget digital inputs and 1 phidget digital output.  The output controls which LED emits an IR beam and by deduction what side an object is present that falls within the range of the device.
